Thermal management is crucial for optimal fan design. Brushless DC motors are increasingly favored by OEMs for their superior efficiency, higher reliability, and enhanced control capabilities. They are being employed in a growing number of applications, including as fans. A BLDC driver requires an MCU for control, along with suitably specified MOSFETs to deliver power to the fan motor.
TSC portfolio is comprehensive, offering power discrete products for fan systems. We provide MOSFETs with voltage ratings of 40V and 60V in single N, single P, and complementary (N+P) configurations. These MOSFETs come in PDFN33(D) and PDFN56(D) packages, available in both single-channel and dual-channel(D) configurations. For example, dual-channel or complementary MOSFETs are ideal for small size FAN designs.
For polarity protection, we offer Trench Schottky diodes with a rating of 45V~ with low Vf, available in packages such as SOD-123, Micro SMA, TO-277A, etc. Furthermore, for protection components required in transient protection we offer a wide range of TVS devices covering various voltage ranges. For instance, our TVS products range from 5V to 100V and are available in various package styles including SOD-123, SOD-128, ThinSMA, and more. They are available in power ratings from 200W to 600W, in both unidirectional and bidirectional versions. The Zener diodes for voltage regulation also come in various voltages, with packages including SOD-123, SOD-323, SOD-523, and more.
